“Thai melodrama” has been widely popular and deeply rooted in Thai culture. Despite its ongoing development, the misrepresentations of women in these soaps have yet to change over time. The World’s Setted Stage is a board game aiming to raise awareness of the misrepresentation of women in Thai melodrama, among Thai teenagers from the age of 13-15 years old. This project aims to provide knowledge, alter perceptions, and emphasize that not all behaviors and concepts on TV deserve to be mirrored. Through the use of scenarios from Lakorn Thai and discussions in the games, the adolescents are encouraged to expand their thoughts on gender roles in the society.
“ละครน้ำเน่าไทย” เป็นสื่อที่ได้รับความนิยมและฝังรากลึกในวัฒนธรรมไทย โดยแม้ว่าละครลักษณะนี้จะมีการพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่อง แต่ภาพตัวแทนของผู้หญิงในจอนั้นยังคงไม่เปลี่ยนแปลงนัก “The World’s Setted Stage” จึงเป็นเกมกระดานที่ถูกสร้างขึ้นมาเพื่อชี้ให้เห็นถึงการนำเสนอภาพตัวแทนของผู้หญิงที่ไม่ถูกต้องในสื่อโทรทัศน์ โดยมีกลุ่มเป้าหมายเป็นวัยรุ่นไทยช่วงอายุ 13-15 ปี โครงการนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อตีแผ่ความรู้ และขยายกรอบทัศนคติว่า พฤติกรรมและแนวคิดที่ถูกนำเสนอในละครไทย ไม่ใช่สิ่งที่ถูกต้องหรือควรปฏิบัติตามในชีวิตจริงเสมอไป โครงการนี้มุ่งหวังให้กลุ่มเป้าหมายได้รับมุมมองใหม่เกี่ยวกับบทบาททางเพศในสังคม ผ่านการเรียนรู้ด้วยเหตุการณ์ ที่เกิดขึ้นในละครไทยจากเกมนี้
